Devil’s bridge gorges
It was in 1893 that the Devil’s Bridge gorge have been arranged to allow the public access. In the midst of a unique forest landscape, the Morzine’s Dranse, river of our region, rushes into a crack and plunges deeply into the rock dominated by a massive marble arch: the Devil’s Bridge. The walls create a fantastic atmosphere, dug by the vortices of the torrent and covered with strange holes and sculptures called “giant potholes” created by the erosion of gray marble by the power of water.
Suspended 30m above the riverbed, a trail will guide you during your visit between runoff and richly colored deposits, following the underground bed dug by the infiltrated water. You will also be able to discover the chaos formed by landslides of rocks that collapsed under their own weight. An adventure for the whole family and friends.
The tours are organized by the Society of Gorges du Pont du Diable. You will find all necessary information for your visit on their website.
